I bought this to put in the master bedroom of my new house. I love it. It looks very modern and works great! It is a very quiet fan.

Nice Design, Compact, but LOUD!

I've specced this fan several times for different clients. I lived with one for 5 or 6 years and while it's size was perfect for my small bedroom (7' x 13'), it was quite loud. The angle of the blades is quite steep compared to a Modern Fan Ball Fan (fantastic fan!), I suppose because it only has 3 blades, it's to move more air, but that raises the noise level.

Looks good but has issues....

This fan is a good design except for the lighting feature. The designer has the opportunity to match the shape of the non-illuminated option by using an LED plate but instead opted for an LED bulb; thus elongating the design which looks more of a bullet. It also extends the fan to a height that is then reachable from the floor if you have 9' or lower ceilings. Since this was designed withe the NY apartment in mind is a big miss. Secondly and most importantly, the fan is noisy. If your a light sleeper it will be a deal breaker and if you are just relaxing in your room it is a major distraction. I have reached out to the factory about this and not heard back.... Overall, I am disappointed and hope YLighting or Modern Fan will make it right...

Sleek, modern, unobtrusive, blends in well

I wanted a ceiling fan that was unobtrusive and blended in with my white kitchen ceiling. My kitchen is not the largest and there is a lot going on so I didn't want attention drawn upwards. I also wanted something that really ventilated well, since we have no A/C on our first floor and our stove top hood fan is useless. I hesitated a bit before purchasing the cirrus ceiling hugger because of price, but in the end, I figured it would be worth it. I am super happy with all the features. On top of it, the 52" blades create a very strong wind on High and it is virtually silent. It lights up my kitchen quite well with the strongest light option. My contractor installed it. It's only been 2 weeks, but no complaints at all so far. I'm considering buying a second for our den.

Modern Fan Company

The Modern Fan Company was founded in 1997 by industrial designer Ron Rezek in Ashland, Oregon. It was the first (and to this day, only) company of its kind: a designer and manufacturer of contemporary ceiling fans. It was established based on the overwhelming success of Rezek's 1986 design of the Stratos Ceiling Fan, which did away with all ornate brass scrollwork and blade irons standard up until that time.
