Cirrus DC Flushmount Ceiling Fan

I bought three Cirrus DC Flush Mount Ceiling Fans for my living room and bed rooms. I am satisfied with the retrospective futuristic design and LED light that is bright enough to illuminate the entire room. The reason why I did not put 5 stars is a humming noise. It is noticeable in a quiet bedroom. A couple of other reviewers also mention about it. I was a little disappointed about it considering the price.

We wanted a fan with modern, clean lines that would blend seamlessly with our ceiling. The Cirrus is a stunner, even more beautiful when the lamp is on. It runs smoothly and silently, even at high speed. The LED lamp emits a pleasant, warm light and is a worthwhile option. Modern Fan was kind enough to send us a replacement globe for it when a contractor broke while installing some closet doors. My only regret is that it is not Apple HomeKit compatible. We highly recommend it for its design, performance, value, and customer service.

I recently purchased my 4th Cirrus Ceiling Fan in the past 15 years. 2 fans for 2 different houses. I really like this fan but the latest version is the best one yet because of the improved controller. My 3rd fan has a "beep" whenever the fan was turned on or off or changed speeds. I complained to Modern Fan about this because nobody wants a beep on a bedroom fan in the middle of the night. The newest model has eliminated the beep which I think is a great improvement. So why only 4 stars? At the lower speeds (1 & 2 out of 6) there is a whine that can be annoying depending on your hearing capability. I can hear it, and it only bothers me a little, but my wife has much better hearing then me and it bothers her quite a bit. On level 3 and above the air passing over the fan blades tends to cover the whine. Given that, I would buy another of these fans if I needed one. I like the simple style and clean lines for out minimalist modern house.

This fan is a good solution for rooms with low ceilings. It provides about one inch more of blade clearance up from the floor than the Velo hugger. With the direct current motor there is no motor hum, even at low speeds.
