Love the new hugger fan by Modern Fan Co.

The fan was installed in our master bath & with 3 speeds it cools the room nicely after a hot shower. It looks really good in the space & since it took the place of one of our lights, the light kit works perfectly well!
Returned as a wrong fan ordered

It was returned.as it did not work for the slanted ceiling. I liked the design.
Looks great

We got two of these in the base configuration (remote control, no light) and installation was pretty easy. Just make sure you come prepared with a stable ladder and if possible a second pair of arms to hold the fan while you try to loop in the little suspension cable (a bit fiddly with one of the fans we got since some internals were glued too close to the hook). I am not giving 5 stars because both fans we got have a slight whirring noise which is audible at the low speed setting. Not a deal breaker, but our neighbor has a slightly larger model which is completely silent, so that is the benchmark :)

Beautiful design. Quiet & efficient. Gets the job done with creativity.
Cirrus Hugger
After reviewing multiple fans for our new contemporary home we came across the Cirrus Hugger Fans. They were suggested by our Interior Designer and we instantly liked the look so much that we bought two. They were installed recently and we have two issues. 1. The fans come with remote controls. We placed one fan on the first level and one in the master bath on the second level. Unfortunately each remote controls both fans. Trying to figure out if the RF can be changed. 2. The fan on the first floor makes an annoying subtle whoop whoop off balance noise at low speeds. We thought it wasn't properly installed, but there appears to be a defect and the fan may have to go back. Other than those two issues we are happy with the fans. At $428 a fan we don't expect perfection, but we also don't expect issues either

Modern Fan Company
The Modern Fan Company was founded in 1997 by industrial designer Ron Rezek in Ashland, Oregon. It was the first (and to this day, only) company of its kind: a designer and manufacturer of contemporary ceiling fans. It was established based on the overwhelming success of Rezek's 1986 design of the Stratos Ceiling Fan, which did away with all ornate brass scrollwork and blade irons standard up until that time.
