An original Norman Cherner design, this furniture is created using original drawings and molds. The seat and back are made from laminated plywood that has varying thickness, from 15 ply in the center to 5 plys at the edge. The seat and back are connected with a narrow yet sturdy waist that infuses a distinctive look to any space. Sleek laminated legs are accentuated with a chrome footrest.

#sweepstakes I purchased these for a counter area in my kitchen that has a modern design style. There are many knock-off stools made overseas, but I decided to but the original Cherner stool since it was made in the USA. The build quality and finish is truly excellent. They are very sturdy and beautiful - certainly worth the cost. Although the backs look like they might be weak, due to the narrow support section, this section has additional wood layers and the backs are extremely well supported. Overall a fantastic stool.

I was expecting high quality fit and finish but found a DYI assembly project with poor and incorrect instructions. The chrome finish is very poor quality. It also is a bit low for a barstool (by half an inch). Overall not what I expected
