Graceful comfort with stylish durability. The Cherner Lounge Armchair by Cherner Chair Company is a harmonious composition of design and comfort. Norman Cherner’s iconic 1958 design that appeared on in the Norman Rockwell’s 1961 painting “The Artist at Work” on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post inspired this beautifully sculpted design. His son Benjamin Cherner reimagined the chair with more flair. It features graceful seat and back made from molded plywood shell and arms are crafted from solid bentwood. The equally elegant base is made from laminated wood.

Architect and founder Benjamin Cherner founded Cherner Chair Company with his brother Thomas in 1999. Benjamin creates new designs for the line, while Norman Cherner’s original drawings and specs are used to craft those original designs with the highest quality and attention to detail.
