Great with LED
What to update my review from 4 years ago. We now switched to the LED bulbs that are close match to the recommended bulbs in their form and color. It's extremely bright but we keep it on the dimmer. The bulbs we use are by Tesler, LED 16.5 filament globe bulbs 4 Watts dimabble. Each is equivalent to 40 watts incandescent. It took us years to find these. Perhaps more options available now, I would prefer them not so bright but they look so close to the original design, very much as incandescent bulbs.

Great light but gets very hot
Great light and I have gotten a ton of compliments. It is solid but it does get very hot and my electrician has had to change the receptacle twice because of the wattage. You definitely want it on a dimmer
