Terrific Chair, but "soft red" color is brownish red!

These are beautiful. The only thing I'd caution is that the "soft red" color is really more of a dark terra cotta--it has a definite brownish undertone. The photos (on other retailers sites as well) look much more berry colored to me. I thought they'd sent the wrong chair to me, but noticed that on the Carl Hansen website they call it "red brown," which makes more sense. I've had a difficult time taking a photo that accurately represents the true color, but I'm uploading the best one I could capture. Also--be aware: I ordered 8 chairs, and when I looked at the possibility of returning them on the Lumens website, it said I could only return 5 of them (that there is a limit when you order multiple items). Maybe they would have made an exception if I'd called, but I decided just to keep them.

Beautiful! The chair is surprisingly comfortable and sturdy, but lightweight enough that you can move the chair if needed to use just about anywhere in your home. Bonus: no assembly required!

My new Hans Wegner Wishbone chairs are so nice - I love them. They are design icons, and they look great with my round dining table. They are also very comfortable while sitting in them. Their classic modern design is so distinct and eye catching. I am so happy with my purchase.
Carl Hansen
In 1908, Carl Hansen founded his Danish furniture company based on the premise that high-quality craftsmanship and efficient mass production could work well together. And he was right. With an efficient mode of production in place, the company really hit its stride once it started collaborating with a relatively unknown Danish architect, Hans J. Wegner, in the late 1940s (through the 1960s). The Danish Modern designs conceived by Wegner have proven so consistently popular that Carl Hansen & Son continues to make them today.
