The Cavill Flushmount from Visual Comfort Signature combines a ribbed dome hood with a white glass globe beneath it, giving the fixture a two-part structure that reads as both architectural and decorative. Designed by Ralph Lauren, the two elements are separated by a brass band that traces the equator of the globe, drawing a clear line between the opaque upper section and the translucent lower one. The ribbed texture on the hood adds surface detail that contrasts with the smooth glass below.
