The C44 Square Dining Table from FDB Møbler adapts the classic design to a square format while maintaining the reversible laminate top concept. Designed by Jørgen Bækmark, the table combines a solid frame with FENIX laminate, offering two surface treatments that provide flexibility in appearance while offering practical properties such as easy maintenance and fingerprint resistance. Square proportions make the table work in different spatial contexts than the rectangular version, particularly in compact dining areas. This 1963 design demonstrates how a single concept can adapt across multiple formats while maintaining its core principles.

FDB Møbler

Based in Albertslund, Denmark, FDB Møbler remains a torchbearer of timeless Danish design—producing sustainable, high-quality furniture intended to endure both physically and stylistically for generations. In 1942, amid a world dominated by heavy, ornate furnishings accessible only to the privileged few, a quiet revolution began in Denmark.
