The Kartell Bubble Club Chair, a Philippe Starck design, is made of smooth and durable batch-dyed polyethylene. The chair can live perfectly outside, but is also great for furnishing internal communal spaces, waiting rooms and public places. It is characterized by the soft lines of the arms in contrast with the more essential and rational line of the back. It is the ideal example of the Kartell design concept of pairing classic style with modern materials.

Kartell

Based in Milan, Italy, Kartell was founded in 1949 by chemical engineer Giulio Castelli and his wife, architect Anna Castelli. Originally a producer of car accessories, it was Kartell's experimentation in plastics for the home that made them famous. Stylish home accessories and lighting dominated the 1950s, with the first injection-molded furniture emerging in the 1960s. Since then, the Kartell modern furniture line has only continued to grow, including contemporary chairs, tables, sofas and more--all made out of durable, lightweight and surprisingly comfortable plastic.
