Bis Bayonet Wall/Ceiling Light

We purchased the extra small for our bathroom. I am honestly shocked that no where is it mentioned in the description this is twist-lock glass. Some of the reviews mention ease of installation, which is even more surprising. There are no instructions with this fixture. My husband and I tried HARD for a very long time to open the glass, to no avail (and I should mention we're both rock climbers and have very strong hands - so opening this thing was impossible). I ended up having to go online to look up how to unstick twist-lock glass, and we had to use a flat-head screwdriver to tap around the glass quite a bit to eventually release it (and yes we chipped the glass slightly in doing so) . This fixture SHOULD NOT come already assembled!! I honestly wanted to contact LUMENS to exchange it, in case another one would be easier to open. Our other flushmounts use screws, which is much easier to assemble. We rubbed WD-40 around the perimeter of the glass once we opened it, so that it hopefully won't get stuck again. Now that it's screwed onto the wall, twisting it open is more straightforward, but still requires some force. I really hope the bulb in there lasts for a long time. The light fixture is really pretty, and it looks nice in our bathroom, but it's a serious headache.

We had splurged on AJ Eklipta (Louis Poulsen) sconces for four very visible parts of our hall and stairway. Then we needed two more for the walk in closet and walk in pantry, and we did NOT want to spend $400-500 for these much less visible locations, but did want to have a complimentary look. These Bis lights are PERFECT for this! (And we tried three other options first which failed on one account or another.) It's a handsome well-made fixture, casts very helpful light, and shows very little of a "hot spot" when we put a 40 watt equivalent LED bulb in. And, they're less deep than the Eklipta's, so won't get banged by the closet door as easily. And, finally, these are amazingly priced!!

It was exactly what we wanted - modern, simple, well made.

This light installed really easily, and the dome secures quickly and easily. It also conceals the bulb 100% and diffuses light really well. Very happy with the results.

We use this fixture as wall light, and it is big! The opaque glass is good quality, and I like its nice, clean features. Very happy with the purchase overall.
