Key Features
The GUBI Bestlite BL9 Pendant is an iconic design synonymous with European modernism of the 20th century. Designed by Robert Dudley Best in 1930, the crisp solid structure and functional down light is influenced by the German Bauhaus school of thought which promulgated the blending of fine art and craft. The smooth shade is pleasing to the eye and adheres to minimalist aesthetics for optimal task-oriented down lighting.
In 2001, Jacob and Sebastian Gubi took over their parent’s furniture business, transforming GUBI in to an internationally recognized design house for lighting, furniture, and accessories. Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, GUBI is a purveyor of timeless and emerging designs, many of which are iconic and can be found in permanent collections around the world.
