The Bessemer Floor Lamp from Uttermost rises from a rectangular base into a slim adjustable pole and curved gooseneck arm. Designed by Jim Parsons, its antique brass plating and aged black details reinforce its industrial character, and its name refers to the steel-forging process without adding unnecessary ornament. The frame and round shade are steel, and the shade pivots up or down to aim illumination toward a book, task, or nearby surface. This adjustable arrangement works well beside a reading chair, desk, or sofa where the beam may need to shift throughout the day.

Uttermost

The Uttermost venture started in 1975 when Bob and Belle Cooper opened shop in Rocky Mountain, Virginia, largely as a manufacturer of mirrors. Still family owned, Uttermost has expanded to include many more lighting fixtures in their line and has a branch in Riverside, California as well as a strong working relationship with their employees in Guanxi, China.
