I have loved and used this model for 25 years. But I've gone through at least 3 different versions because the springs break after a few years. But I do love the design and functionality, so I keep buying again!. This shipment of 2 from yLighting was missing the diffuser glass, so have not yet assembled and placed these lamps (ordered 2 matching for bedside place, doubling as a desk light on one side.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

We've had Berenice table lamps on our nightstands for years. They're beautiful and well-crafted. The base of the lamp is very heavy and stable. I bought the LED version as a desk lamp. To my eye, the light produced by the LED is overly bright and a bit cold. I prefer the light produced by halogen. Because we use the desk lamp only infrequently, the higher efficiency will not result in a significant saving of electricity. If I had to do it over again, I'd get another halogen lamp.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I bought my first Bernice lamp in 1999 and it's still in perfect condition and works awesome..This second lamp was to replace another bedside lamp that failed after 5 years. Stick with a winner.

We have several pairs of Berenice lamps, both in black and silver. For a new reading area we decided to try out the new Berenice LED in black. Slightly different look without the glass dome, but so similar in appearance it works well for us with out a design conflict. Very happy with our purchase. Arrived early and as described. Works great. A whiter, brighter light.

The best light from an attractive yet unobtrusive task lamp.

This is the best task lamp that I have ever used. It is also available, yet remains inconspicuous when not in use. The halogen light is warm and never seems to tire my eyes. I highly recommend this lamp!

Luceplan

Established in 1978 by architects Riccardo Sarfatti, Paolo Rizzatto and Sandra Severi, Luceplan defined its goal of democratic quality design, free of stylistic clichés and opulence, from the very onset. This approach--soon acknowledged by the market and numerous international awards--was perfected when Alberto Meda, an engineer with a passionate love for design, joined the team in 1984.
