Ludwig Mies van der Rohe once wrote that "Form is not the aim of our work. It is the result." Nowhere is that philosophy better expressed than in the simple sophistication of the Barcelona Coffee Table. This design was created in 1927, but its freedom from "trivial decoration" gives it a timeless versatility that suits even the most modern décor stories. Choose your preferred glass tint and frame finish for a personalized look.

Love the look but disappointed in lack of sturdiness

We have always admired this table and recently decided to treat ourselves and actually buy it. We waited with anticipation and, when table arrived, we were as happy with it's simple and beautiful appearance as we expected. However, we are highly disappointed with the wobbly base and expected a much more sturdy table. Not sure we would have purchased this table if we knew how unsteady it would be.

Knoll

For more than 80 years, Knoll has created furniture designs that evolve and endure. With a distinctly modern sensibility, along with a commitment to sustainability, Knoll’s catalog represents many iconic pieces of mid-century modern furniture such as the Barcelona Chair by Mies Van Der Rohe, the Bertoia Barstool by Harry Bertoia and the Womb Chair by Eero Saarinen. Knoll remains true to the Bauhaus design philosophy that furniture should complement its surrounding interior space. Knoll is Modern Always® because modern always works.
