Arne Jacobsen Clocks

Often considered the father of mid-century modern Danish design, Arne Jacobsen was born in 1902 in Copenhagen. Educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture in Copenhagen, Jacobsen was immediately recognized for his rationalist architectural designs based on functionalism—the principle that design should be based on the function and purpose of the piece. Later branching into furniture design, Arne Jacobsen remains a renowned figure in the world of design.
