The 1000 Karat Blau Pendant from Ingo Maurer is an eye-catching pendant luminaire that functions as a sculptural light object. Gold leaf embedded in its acrylic panels reflects warm, long-wave light internally, creating an inviting, ambient atmosphere. Similar to the 24 Karat Blau—an Ingo Maurer classic since 2005—only short-wave blue light transmits through the gold, producing a distinctive bluish point of light.
