Key Features

Made in Netherlands
Flowing curves give the Zwaan Lounge Chair from Pastoe a softer outline than the sharp geometric furniture often associated with its designer. Designed by Gerrit Rietveld for the World Expo in Brussels, the rocker explores a more rounded approach to modern seating. A wood frame supports steel springs and foam padding beneath fabric or leather upholstery. The gentle rocking motion and cushioned seat encourage relaxed sitting, making the chair an abstract, yet comfortable addition to a living room, study, or quiet reading area.

Pastoe

Since 1913, Pastoe has shaped the landscape of Dutch furniture design through a philosophy rooted in clarity, craftsmanship, and enduring functionality. Founded in Utrecht as a small furniture workshop, the company evolved into one of the Netherlands' most influential design houses, creating timeless pieces that balance minimalist aesthetics with everyday practicality. For more than a century, Pastoe has collaborated with some of the country's most celebrated designers, building a collection that continues to define the legacy of modern Dutch design.
