The Zigmund Desk from Noir features a dramatic cinder black finish that envelops the mahogany in smoky, sophisticated tones across its working surface. The dark treatment creates impressive depth while allowing subtle grain patterns to emerge beneath the rich coating throughout. Clean rectangular lines emphasize the wood's substantial construction and natural heft in every detail of the piece. This desk demonstrates how bold finish choices can completely alter a material's character and presence in any modern workspace environment.

Noir

Noir is an American furniture and lighting design company based in Gardena, CA. Founded in 2004 by Swiss native and designer Georg Bahler and Stephanie Lu, Noir produces Bahler’s designs. Each piece is hand-crafted and inspired by his European upbringing, art and furniture history, music, fashion, popular culture and mother nature. Noir’s hallmarks include the use of raw materials and solid woods when possible, atypical materials, and experimentation to create uncommon and unapologetically bold designs from the mind of Georg Bahler.
