Waterford

Founded in 1783 by brothers George and William Penrose in the Irish city of Waterford, Waterford Crystal has long stood as a symbol of elegance, refinement, and cultural prestige. Rooted in the Georgian era’s neoclassical ideals, the company quickly established itself by crafting exceptionally clear and beautifully cut crystal, praised for its brilliance and weight. The brand’s mastery in traditional hand-cutting techniques—carried out by highly skilled artisans in its home of Ireland—has remained virtually unchanged for over two centuries, and continues today in its House of Waterford facility, where craftsmen apprentice for eight years to perfect their art.

Over the years, Waterford has expanded beyond crystal stemware to offer chandeliers, barware, home décor, and even timepieces, while maintaining its heritage of meticulous craftsmanship and timeless design. Collaborations with acclaimed designers like Jasper Conran and John Rocha brought contemporary verve to classic forms, introducing a new generation to the art of crystal. Waterford pieces have lit the Times Square Ball on New Year’s Eve, adorned royal tables, and been gifted to presidents—solidifying the brand’s legacy as a touchstone of celebration, artistry, and heritage.

We chose to offer Waterford not just for its legendary status in the world of crystal, but because of the feeling it evokes in the home—grace, celebration, and a sense of permanence. To own a piece of Waterford is to hold a fragment of history, refracted through the beauty of light.
