Parola Wall Sconce

The Parola Wall Sconce from FontanaArte is notable for the range of glassworking processes brought together in a single object. Gae Aulenti and Piero Castiglioni designed it in 1980, combining blown glass, natural glass, and natural crystal in a way that integrates artisanal and industrial methods. The diffuser is made of glossy coloured blown glass paste, mounted on a satin nickel-plated metal wall support. Light output is diffused and dimmable, giving the piece a soft, even presence on the wall.
