Gold Wall Sconces 

Looking to add an extra bit of glamour to the home, consider gold wall sconces. Wall sconces in general serve two purposes in the home: to illuminate the surrounding area and to save space. Gold sconces bring a particular look to the walls of the home, adding to the style of the space not only through extra layers of light in a functional manner, but through the sleek and uplifting form. The sheen of the gold layering stands out and speaks to a luxury quality, lending an iconic and sophisticated touch to the space. When considering a brushed gold wall sconce for a room, perhaps consider a black and gold wall sconce instead. The dynamic between light and dark brings an interesting touch to the walls. Other Considerations 

A sconce can just as easily make a statement in the room when the right size is used. The height, width and depth need to be considered to have an adequate look. As with any outdoor fixture, check for the rating, whether wet or damp to determine if the sconce can be directly exposed to water or only indirectly. In some parts of the country, Dark Sky compliance must be met, so check if the fixture meets it.   

When mounting in a hallway where natural light is not in abundance, remember to consider not only where the light shines (for example, from the front, top or bottom) but also how many lights there are. Some sconces bring an uplight to the space and others a downlight, and some bring both, creating a full look down a once-shadowy hallway.
