Assembly requires lots of attention to detail.

Upon examining the parts it was clear this a complex assembly for the average bear. Illustrations could have had better detail and some of the names for parts are not totally consistent. Thus lots of pouring through instructions during assembly. Issue with down rod: a very short one comes with fan. That was not clear so I unnecessarily ordered the next shorter one and will have to return. As shipped the fan is close to a ceiling hugger. Also no mention in instructions of shorten ing the numerous wires between the base and fan motor/light unit. The wires are WAY too long and cannot all be tucked in the collar at the ceiling unless the longest down road is used. THERE ARE LOTS OF WIRE CONNECTIONS TO MAKE! However, I REALLY LIKE THE FAN/LIGHT. it is silent, attractive, and efficient.
