The Louis Poulsen Story
Key Features
The Louis Poulsen VL38 LED Floor Lamp is everything we love about modern design. Originally introduced in the 1940s by famed architect, Vilhelm Lauritzen, the VL38 has stayed relevant as a piece of historic design that is both beautiful and functional. This floor lamp was designed for the building of Radiohuset, the Danish broadcasting house. The lamp is tall and leans at a slight angle, giving the adjustable white shade additional aim that is particularly beneficial for reading purposes. An inline switch adds convenience.
When you hear the name Louis Poulsen, you think distinctive modern Danish lighting. From the classic icons of the 1920s to more recent pieces, all Louis Poulsen lighting is created based on a deep-felt respect for architecture, understanding the emotional effect of lighting and the belief that shadow is just as aesthetically important as light. All three aspects manifest themselves in the sculptural layering and comfortable, glare-free light of Louis Poulsen pendants, wall, table and floor lamps.
