The Vivi Chest Drawer from Uttermost stacks three drawers into one case, each pulled open by a single curved black handle that spans its width. Created by Matthew Williams, the case is finished in a white mindi veneer that alternates grain direction from drawer to drawer, set on angled black metal legs. Each handle curves in the same arc, though the grain behind it shifts direction with every drawer, breaking up what would otherwise be a flat, even surface.

The Uttermost venture started in 1975 when Bob and Belle Cooper opened shop in Rocky Mountain, Virginia, largely as a manufacturer of mirrors. Still family owned, Uttermost has expanded to include many more lighting fixtures in their line and has a branch in Riverside, California as well as a strong working relationship with their employees in Guanxi, China.
