Red Vitra Miniatures

Hold fine design in the palm of your hand. About 20 years ago, the Vitra Miniatures Collection began when Vitra started making scale replicas of its furniture collection. Recognizing a great way to chronicle the milestones of industrial furniture design to date, Vitra expanded its offerings to include dozens of pieces, representing designs from the early 19th century through today. Exactly 1:6 scale of the originals, these miniatures are made by hand out of the same materials, with details accurate down to the very last screw, rivet and foot glide.

Why We Love Vitra Miniatures

Petite, beautiful and representative of the time and place in which they were conceived, Vitra Miniatures make great gifts for anyone appreciative of modern design and culture. The collection includes highly recognizable pieces from Charles & Ray Eames, Frank Lloyd Wright, Le Corbusier, Eero Saarinen and many others, all created with the full authority of the designers or their estates. In some cases, the original designer actually helped in creating the miniaturized version of their iconic designs, which only adds to the overall authenticity and collectability of the Vitra Miniatures.
