The Violin Dining Chair from GUBI uses a slender steel body and an arcing back of sustainably harvested wood to play a symphony of style. Designed by Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi of GamFratesi with an eye towards purifying the form of a classical chair, they created a half-arm structure that shows off telescoping steel legs that contrast well with the natural woodgrain. The seat is plush foam, surfaced by textured fabric that adds a layer of comfort to the slender elements of wood and steel, for a light and contemporary look that can dress up or play casual.

When brothers Jacob and Sebastian Gubi took over their parent’s furniture business in 2001, their voracious search and acquisition of iconic designs transformed GUBI in to the internationally recognized design house it is today.
