The Velune Pendant from Minka-Lavery is a globe-shaped fabric shade constructed from individual panels of loosely woven linen that meet at visible frayed seams, giving the fixture a relaxed, handcrafted quality. The panels create a softly faceted surface across the globe, with the open bottom revealing the framework beneath. Light filters through the loose weave of the fabric, producing a diffused, texture-rich output across the full surface of the shade. A link chain connects the shade to a small round canopy above.

The duo's tactic in giving Minka-Lavery light fixtures their sense of luxury was to take inspiration from past design styles whenever possible and re-introduce them in new forms.
