Easy installation, happy with fan, simple in design

We were pleased to get this Modern Fan after a long wait this summer. It is well made, with excellent proportions, and looks great in the bedroom. The instructions are easy to understand, and the installation was relatively simple. This 6-speed fan provides relief from the Summer heat in August, and makes it easier to sleep every night.

I purchased the volo hugger fan for my LR after reading up on air circulation, which seems rather complicated and not based on one factor. This fan produces a lot of air flow for its size. It is also super quiet and extremely well built. I made the mistake of purchasing a less expensive fan with a minimal profile, and the motor had an annoying humming sound, plus it did not circulate air well. Ordering three more for bedrooms.

We LOVE this fan. We use it in the living room of our smallish Brooklyn with 9' ceilings, roughly 25' x 15'. Low setting provides a gentle breeze. Medium gives a nice steady breeze that keeps us cool. High is a gust that blows your hair around. We just had our first 85º day and we didn't even think of turning on the AC because the fan kept us nice and cool on medium. It is whisper quiet on low and medium. On high, there is a periodic low clicking sound...but, even knowing that, I would certainly still buy the same fan again--especially since the fan is so powerful on medium setting.
