The Valerie Floor Lamp is the perfect addition to our foyer. It has been surprisingly difficult to find a floor lamp that was sufficiently tall, yet with narrow overall footprint. The scale and aged brass finish is perfect for the space and it fits nicely—close the wall without jutting out into the room. It's very well-built and a piece that will last a lifetime. Our only complaint is around the packaging experience. While the shade arrived in its own box with an innovative and effective packaging design that allowed the shade to 'float' inside the box, the lamp body packaging presented challenges and would benefit from a redesign by the manufacturer. Because the lamp body is disconnected from the base with the wire threaded through both the body and weighted base, there is high risk of the power cable being severed during shipping which was the case on the first lamp we received. Overall, though, we're very happy with the purchase.
