GREAT MID-CENTURY TASK LAMP
After purchasing a traditional/mid-century ranch last year, my wife and I have often shopped at Lumens for various needs including several wonderful Minka Aire silver fans. We have a small "hearth room" at the end of our kitchen with a fireplace and huge window. Our furniture space is limited, and we didn't have room for a floor lamp for reading in a small leather chair. There is already a side table so--after looking at our options on the Lunens site--we chose the 75 Anglepoise task lamp in a brushed silver tone. It is PERFECT! Beautiful, classy and very flexible, it has a HEAVY round base that allows it be remain steady as it is put into many different reading positions over the chair. It is very minimal yet has a cool Mid-Century vibe. It came VERY well packed and was a breeze to assemble. The quality is superb. Energy conservation is important to us--this lamp comes with a fluorescent cool-burning bulb--a win-win. We have grown to depend on Lumens for quality products and excellent customer service!

This is a great lamp. It looks stylish and is very functional. I think it will last for many years. This is a better price than others I've seen.
Capacitance Based On/Off Switch Finicky
Overall pleased with the light but the capacitance based on/off switch is finicky and can be irritating.
Anglepoise
Anglepoise started in 1899 by Herbert Terry and sons. They originally sold products that used their springs, like toasters, bike seats and spring clips. It wasn't until 1931 when George Carwardine established a theory for using balanced weights with these springs that Anglepoise introduced lighting to the company.
