Just from its oval backplate, one understands the attention to detail from SkLO as its crisp metal outlines the delightful forms in front. To create the twin glass shade, Czech artisans fuse two blown glass spheres while piping hot. Their soft, rounded features are an eye-pleasing complement to the light. SkLO is a collaborative design company founded by Pavel Hanousek, Karen Gilbert, and Paul Pavlak. Although Based out of Healdsburg, CA, the team works with master glassmakers in the Czech Republic importing hand-blown glass for their lighting fixtures in the SkLO: LIT collection. Slight variation in each piece is welcome, emphasizing the beauty of the handmade process with each design.
