I put one of these in a bedroom that was being used as a den, and it was nice and bright without being glary. This purchase was to do the same for two more bedrooms. They are great! They are a little tricky to install, since they are heavy and have a significant bump that must go inside the electrical box. The hanging cable helps a lot.
