TRANSOM AE Window Fan

I bought this a month or so ago. Wanted to see if it would work in my garage, but unfortunately it didn't. No fault of the product. My garage is surrounded by Sun at least 80% or more a day. My garage is insulated, my garage door is insulated, the ceiling is insulated. I have used a 20" air king fan a 16" fan. Nothing will cool down my garage unless it is cool outside.

Im really happy to receive my new Transom AE window fan. At first I wasn't sure whether it would fit in my window but it did, thanks to the adjusting sides. What I do like is the Alexa technology. Easy to use and gives the room a great flow of air.

I installed this fan with no tools at all- and connected to Alexa in under 10 minutes! (fun fact- scan the barcode on the bottom of the fan prior to installation.) First of all, everything comes in the box that you need- there is even a foam block system that makes sure that everything is sealed properly, and everything runs smoothly and efficiently. There are several different settings- you can pull air out of the room to outside, push fresh air inside and 4 speed settings. The auto temperature controls work to maintain a set temperature and a display to show room temp. This bad boy provides much more than expected air flow circulation, looks very modern, and I absolutely love that it connects to Alexa- which works by voice, app. or scheduling. GENIUS. I love this more than I ever thought I would and it fits perfectly in my sun room on the back of my house.

Fan looks great and works well. Alexa feature unresponive after setup will return if issue with alexa not resolved.

overall, this is a good design and seems to be a solidly built fan. I wish it had a built in screen, but few window fans do. The thing that is driving me a little crazy is what happens if the air temp is right at the set point. it switches on and off constantly. I just timed it off for 15 SECONDS, and then back on for 30 seconds. Normally things like this have a couple of degree range so if I set it for 65 deg cooling, it might cut on when the temperature gets above 65, but not cut off until it drops below 63. or even 60. If you don't notice noise changes, it might not be a concern to you, but since I can touch it while at my home office, I had to turn off the auto temperature controls.
