Sign InAn Italian design company founded in 2015, Tooy is chaired by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei. Tooy manufactures each piece in Italy in the Marche region. Tooy believes lights have infinite design possibilities, allowing light to always be transformed and tested in order to give value to living space with a versatile range of products that each tell a story.
Tooy draws upon the idea that light creates and defines a space. Lamps designs the space and the environment to live in by virtue of emitting light into the space, defining the environment. To this end, Tooy believes the lamp as important as a living being, being in harmony and osmotic with the space it is placed in.
Tooy is a spinoff of Valeria Giacomozzi’s family’s company, Gibas, which brings lighting design knowledge and experience since 1959.
The Nastro collection designed by StudioPepe uses simple geometry and light coloring to create a sophisticated and appealing silhouette. Smooth cylinders are held or rest between gently curving surfaces to form a visual balance with the body and light source of each piece. The Thula collection by Federica Biasi expresses a balance as a central element hangs from the ceiling, flanked by wood or leather wings. The Nabila collection brings a 1950s inspired look to modern spaces with an array of spherical objects that brighten the surrounding area.
