Creator Tom Dixon draws inspiration from the rousing marble construction of the Taj Mahal. Dixon brings an expressive minimalism design approach that emphasizes the unseen. This minimalist approach reflects on the cylindrical mounting element that doubles as a lamp holder. This cylinder pairs with a ring accent as marble elements that display seductive veins and milky hues. These milky hues accentuate the reflective accents at the core. Tom Dixon was founded in 2002 with a lofty goal: to revive the British furniture industry. Even as it was founded, the company already had a sort of rebellious, inventive reputation based on the preceding career of the man himself.
