Tolomeo with Shade Table Lamp

I've been wanting this for years and finally bought 2 ! Was bigger than I thought and at first was scared but put it in my bedroom and it's perfect . The base foot print is pretty large so be ready for that . I used Philips Hue light bulbs that dime and people have not stopped complimenting how nice they look !

This version of the Tolomeo lamp with its parchment shade serves equally well as a reading lamp with bright light (I use an LED bulb), and for general room lighting with the light softly and warmly diffused by the lampshade. Looks as good off as it does on. The heavy base ensures that the lamp stays put (there is no wobble); and its adjustable arm allows the user to direct the light effectively for reading or task work.

This lamp is very elegant and well designed. I work in an office with a very high ceiling, and it's been difficult for me to light my desk sufficiently with table lamps. This lamp solves the problem of being able to SEE what I'm working on. It didn't turn on when I first unpacked it--it turns out the little clip in the socket needed to be lifted just a touch to make a connection with the base of the bulb. Seems like the factory should check this before sending it out, no?

I use this at my desk and it is perfect. I have several Tolomeo lamps and this is by far my favorite. It provides great illumination with the parchment shade. The best thing about this is you can choose the bulb that suits your needs, both color and lumen output. I can't say enough good things about this lamp. I love it.

I love my Artemide Tolomeo as a nightstand lamp and will purchase another. The Tolomeo is aesthetically pleasing, simple, technical and functional. It's a great reading lamp because it's adjustable by rotating at the base and hinges. The illumination is excellent. I wish the lamp illumination were adjustable, or there were a dimmer option. If you would like dimmer or brighter lighting, you'd have to change out the bulb. Overall it's a great buy for the style and quality.
