wonderful lamp; red is not red
Verified Buyer
I have only been using this lamp for about a week, but so far I'm loving the design and functionality. It's very bright, flexible, functional and aesthetically pleasing. As a professor, I do a lot of desk work with documents, and this lamp is ideal--bright and easily manipulated. My MAJOR issue with the lamp is that it's not really red. The on-line color is deceptive. It's more of a cross between painfully bright red and hunter orange. I expected that it would pick up the deep/ bright red accents in my study, but it is about twice as bright as even a candy-apple bright laminated cart--it almost glows in the dark, and the orange tone does _not_ calm down (at least, not yet). Be really sure you want a "red" that tips into fluorescent orange. I cannot imagine why the designers went for this shade. But otherwise, I am very happy with it.
beautiful and functional

Love this lamp. Instructions were not clear on type of bulb but Artemide customer service was very helpful.
Great look and construction.

Really makes working at my desk much nicer than before. The construction looks solid and the shipping/packaging were perfect. The lightweight aluminum structure does hum (from reaching its natural frequency) when my central heater is on and the floor slightly vibrates. This is why only 4 stars. Artemis should have included design features to raise the natural frequency or damp the vibrations.
Perfect atemporal lamp

I bought this fixture for my kid's drawing desk. Its atemporal aesthetic and functionality are perfect. The articulated arm with a pull system helps a lot amount of luminosity on the desk or in the room. We are pleased with this purchase.

Solid construction and great illumination

The design is exceptionally flexible for all around movement and distribution of light. This is the second lamp by this group and both are working flawlessly.
