Designed in 1989 by Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto, the Luceplan Titania is an iconic design piece that serves as both artistic structure and functional lighting fixture. Its unique aluminum composition creates visual drama as the fixture appears transparent when seen from straight on and solid when viewed from the side. Optional colored filters tint the light for an attractive glow while maintaining the fixture's bright, white light.

So impressed with the Titania, looks great off but especially on. Have the pair of red color filters in it currently and the red really lights up, much more so than in the pictures I've seen.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

This fixture will take a dull setting and create a contemporary, interest grabbing main feature in a room. Good design!

Sublime!

I had wanted a Luceplan Titania ever since I saw one in an ad 20 or so years ago. At that time I thought that Titania was one of the most striking and innovative lighting fixtures I had ever seen. And to this very day I still think so. After many years of waiting I was finally able to purchase a Titania. After installing Titania I found the light to be pleasing with even illumination over the whole dining room. Since I like the color blue I inserted the blue filters into the Titania. I found the blue filters to be satisfying to my eye and others have commented on how they like the blue. LUMENS had a great price and superb service, making the decision all the more enjoyable. Simply the best!

I bought this fixture to go over my kitchen island where it would be the focal point of the room. I was not disappointed. It adds drama and a great light source to boot. It's a definite conversation starter and worth every penny!! It is a bit unwieldy to install, so unless you hire a professional to do so, get a friend to help you..the extra pair of hands will come in handy!!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Luceplan

Established in 1978 by architects Riccardo Sarfatti, Paolo Rizzatto and Sandra Severi, Luceplan defined its goal of democratic quality design, free of stylistic clichés and opulence, from the very onset. This approach--soon acknowledged by the market and numerous international awards--was perfected when Alberto Meda, an engineer with a passionate love for design, joined the team in 1984.
