Well made but small. Bought it for my bathroom but it's too small. However it's beautiful, so put it in entryway instead.

I spent a long time researching flush mounts and wanted something unique, simple and striking and this one fit the bill. We purchased 2 of these in matte black for our long hallway, and the contrast with the ceiling draws the eyes upward and makes the ceilings seem higher than 8'. Minus one star because of the unusual bulbs needed, and also because the fixture and shades become EXTREMELY hot when using the recommended halogen bulbs. When I say hot, I mean REALLY hot. I decided to call the manufacturer directly to see what other options they recommend for bulbs, and they suggested LED's. I purchased 2 different kinds from Home Depot: the Feit Electric 60w and the Feit Electric 40w (both G9 T4). The 60w is brighter but the bulb is longer and touches the inside of the glass shade, producing an effect where there appears to be a 'dot' of brightness in the middle of the shade when the fixture is on. The 40w is a little less bright but the bulb is shorter. I ended up going with these because they produce a beautiful glow in the hallway and much less intense brightness.
