The Stories Additional Opening Shelf from Umage is a straight, plank-like shelf with a round cutout near one end. Designed by Søren Ravn Christensen and made from solid oak and an MDF core, it has a stiff structure and is shaped so that the wood curves smoothly down to the edge of the cutout in one clean, unbroken line. The opening is sized to hold a round glass insert for a plant or other items, turning a plain shelf into a small display spot.
