The Vistosi Sissi Pendant is a dramatic length of handcrafted Murano glass, gradually sloping in to a trumpet shape with surrounding ambient and focused down lighting. The diffused light pools at the base of the flared shade, creating a halo of light in addition to the functional light—especially in the lighter finishes of glass. The staggering height of the Sissi perfectly displays the skill of Vistosi glassmakers, transitioning perfectly from a slender stem to the crispness of the wider base.
One of Italy’s most prestigious and prolific names in Murano glassmaking, Vistosi specializes in hand-blown glass lighting fixtures with an expertise that can be traced to the 1500s. Officially incorporated as Vetreria Vistosi in 1989 with the Moretti family, Vistosi continues to invest in new technologies and methods of production compatible with the historical craft, resulting in an extensive collection of highly decorative yet durable lighting designs.
