Gorgeous.... until
From afar: absolutely gorgeous, a stunning piece that is unique as it is beautiful. A true "white" color, this piece is just as pretty as the showcase photos on the website. The issues start when you get a bit closer. The product is very fragile, and while packed well, had a bit of a deformity in the bottom "ring" where my piece wasn't a perfect circle. I probably should have returned it, but it's only noticeable up close. Check yours carefully. The larger issue, which I had never considered based upon the website photos, was how exactly this product looks when standing underneath. From the photos, they are all taken at such an angle where you cannot see exposed bulbs/you assume (I did) that there is some sort of built in diffuser at the bottom. There isn't. And this gorgeous piece from afar actually leaves something to be desired when you are closer and can look up and see exposed bulbs/fixtures. You don't even need to be completely underneath it to see this- is visible from a few feet away. Really ruins the overall elegance, and was something that is not at all evident from the photos. I'm looking in to adding some sort of fabric myself to serve as a diffuser.
