Serax is a Belgian design brand founded in 1986 by brothers Serge and Axel Van Den Bossche, built on a passion for craftsmanship, meaningful objects, and contemporary design. From its beginnings as a family business, Serax has grown into an internationally recognized design house known for bringing together leading creative voices and skilled makers from around the world.
At the heart of Serax is a collaborative spirit. The brand works with an exceptional roster of designers, architects, artists, and creative visionaries, giving each the freedom to express a unique perspective while remaining connected through Serax’s commitment to quality, functionality, and thoughtful design. This approach has resulted in a rich and diverse design language that balances innovation with everyday usability.
Serax believes that craftsmanship remains essential to great design. The brand collaborates with artisans who work across traditional materials and techniques, continually exploring new ways to push creative boundaries. Every collection reflects a dedication to authenticity, material integrity, and the human touch—objects designed not only to be admired, but to become part of daily life.
At Lumens, we value brands that bring cultural depth and creative perspective to the home. Serax stands out for its ability to unite world-class design talent with exceptional craftsmanship, creating pieces that feel both artistic and approachable. Rooted in Belgian design culture yet global in outlook, Serax continues to redefine contemporary living through thoughtful, enduring design.
