Scraplight Disc Pendant

Very cool light - throws intersting shadows. A bit of a pain to dust but worth it.

I debated for so long which fixture to put in our entry and this was such a great choice! Provides good light and dimmed just casts amazing shadows and looks so cool. We often have it on for ambience even if we're not expecting anyone. Looks much better than I expected and met my budget too.

What a great looking light. It really makes a statement in our entryway. I wasn't sure what to expect from a light made of cardboard, but took a chance on the DISC anyway. I'm so glad we did. When it's off, it almost looks more like carved wood (very organic looking). When on, the pattern of light that escapes from the sides of the fixture is dramatic, but not overwhelming. It draws your attention, but is still subtle. Graypants deserve extra credit for making such stylish lighting from reclaimed materials. Keep up the good work!

I love the uniqueness and craftsmanship of this fixture. I would have preferred a larger size, but this was all we could afford - so one con is that it is expensive. The other issue is that it does not put out much light. Definitely just a light for ambience not for lighting a room.

We purchased this fixture after searching through hundreds, and decided to purchase even though we had concerns about sufficient light output. To test this we held the shade over an existing pendant light to give an idea as to how it would look installed. Very glad we did as we noticed something troubling. When viewing from two opposing sides of the shade, the light shines through highlighting the cool design. However, on the remaining two sides, virtually no light at all shines through due to the variation in pattern on the shade. The combination of low output to begin with and no light emitting from 50% of the shade confirmed that this would not work for our application. We are very glad we didn't install it only to discover this limitation as we would have been unable to return it. Unfortunately, this unique and attractive shade will be returned. And the search continues...
