Key Features
A sculptural design oozing with personality. Inspired by the mechanics of a towering excavator, the timeless Martinelli Luce Ruspa 4 Table Lamp designed by Gae Aulenti carves soft planes of light across one's rooms and table surfaces. The piece lifts elegantly with a shapely arm which, like the excavator, can move up and down. Eight reflectors ordered in pairs as four lampshades claw across the top with smile-like openings; each side can be adjusted in angle for truly dynamic lighting arrangements. Any permutation of angle creates a clean glow that highlights the artistic prowess of Gae Aulenti.
For more than five decades, Martinelli Luce has offered artistic lamps and pendant lights inspired by nature and the simplicity of geometric shapes. The brand is most known for its now-famous, bat-inspired Pipistrello table lamp, which was first introduced in 1965. Free-flowing curves, sharp angles and wave-like motions are all common features within Martinelli Luce’s collections, lending each piece a minimalist yet artistic feel.
