Intricate texture separates the Foscarini Rituals 1 Flushmount from ordinary ceiling fixtures, instantly enhancing the mood of the space once illuminated. The hand-blown Venetian glass is molded from a “stationary” process which imprints concentric rings on the surface of the glass, adding fluid movement to the oval shape. Tranquil light fills the glass, resembling the Japanese rice paper lanterns that initially sparked the design of the Rituals collection.

This is my third Foscarini lamp, my others are on my bedside tables and all three are the same style. They have a modern vibe but are warm looking with a lot of texture and interest.

Foscarini

Founded on the Murano island in Venice, Italy in 1981, Foscarini started out creating blown glass-based lighting. They eventually expanded into other materials (the first being the Havana in 1993), and moved in 1994 to the Marcon area of Venice, into a building that reflected the modern aesthetic of their contemporary lighting. Success led to brand stability and swiftly growing name recognition.
