I think my view of this piece is contextual, it just doesn't work for my space and no return or modification is possible, unfortunately. I bought it for a small-ish accessory dining area with an 8 ft ceiling (lowest in my house). I like the overall aesthetic of the piece and it is well made, but the imbalance in lumens make it impractical for this type of space. It has the majority of the light directed downwards, so the table top surface is focally well lit, but the surrounding area is quite dim as the the globe lights are very low lumens. I could see this piece working beautifully in a restaurant table setting or possibly over a kitchen island, but not in a dining room. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to visualize this without installation (the listing pictures are fairly limited) and once installed it can not be returned. I spoke to the manufacturer and the LEDs can not be modified, the dimness above and directed light below are a design feature (should probably be outlined better in the listing). The manufacturer suggested I buy accessory wall mount lights to give additional lumens to the space. Anyway, it's a pretty but low functionality fixture that I'm now stuck with and will have to supplement with more wall lights and expense. Oy.
