Random II Pendant Light

We ordered this in the large size in black... and then I got nervous... black seemed like such a commitment! My husband kept the faith as we waited for it to arrive, and it is absolutely beautiful. Not too heavy at all. The filaments (strings? fibers?) are fine, flexible and strong. They allow a warm, glowing not-too-stark amount of visual structure. Highly recommend. Oh, and it's very lightweight, so easy for electrician to install in our very tall entryway.

I bought this light for our new modern house. The electrician said it was easy to hang and the lightest fixture he's ever installed in a stairway. I bought this light because it's unique and eye catching without obscuring the windows or looking bulky. It also arrived a couple of weeks ahead of schedule during the busy holiday season. If it fits your design style don't hesitate to buy it!!!

I've been considering this light for many years in several homes and finally purchased the 41" for a large family room remodel. It's well-made, lightweight, and shipped in perfect condition. A few items that I learned in ordering this that I couldn't find on any sites might be helpful to others. 1. If you buy the 41", keep in mind that the standard US door opening is 36". It will not fit through a normal door opening with ease. 2. The box that it's shipped in will arrive on a palette and will be approximately 48" X 48" X 49". Again, this will not fit into a standard door opening. 3. The light is somewhat flexible. The material is somewhat pliable and can "smoosh" a little. It is not a rigid ball. That said, I don't recommend "smooshing" it too much and consider your door openings when purchasing.

This is as beautiful in person as the picture. Seems very well made and is the center piece of the room.
