The Kartell Prince AHA Stool by Kartell was designed by Philippe Starck with a hourglass shape composed of two cones--one slightly rounded and smooth, the other straight and ribbed. The stool is made entirely from polypropylene, which is durable and weather resistant. The stools can be stacked to 6 high, a pragmatic and artful way to store them when not in use.

Affordable Form and Function

I bought this a month ago to use as a nightstand. The slim profile is perfect between my bed and dresser. I went back and forth between the componibili and the Prince AHA. Ultimately, I decided that this storage would be better suited for throws. It is a great height for my shorter bed frame. It complements my Danish modern decor, especially my Louis Poulsen PH 4/3. I would describe the color as more of a cream than a pure white. The plastic is matte and sturdy but lightweight to transport. The only negatives I can think of are that the lids aren't easy to remove (so I don't put anything in there that I want to access a lot) and there was a little dark mark I had to wipe off. All in all, it is an affordable piece that provides form and function in a small space.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

We purchased this recently to serve both as a seat in an outdoor shower and to be used otherwise as another outdoor seat. It is very nicely made and fits our needs perfectly! The style and color also are perfect for the setting.

Color not as pictured

The design was interesting to me, but the gray pictured was not as it seemed. The stools were too light both in color and in weight. Returned. Charged $45 for the return. Thought that was too much since I thought it their responsibly to have accurate pix for online ordering.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

I searched high and low for a good looking modern stool for the shower - and this is it. I bought in green and gray for 2 of my showers and plan to by another!

I have purchased this stool in the past in a bright white color. They are sturdy and I love the design BUT I recently purchased new stools in the Wax White which is actually Ivory/cream colored, almost yellow. They just don't work, unfortunately.

Kartell

Based in Milan, Italy, Kartell was founded in 1949 by chemical engineer Giulio Castelli and his wife, architect Anna Castelli. Originally a producer of car accessories, it was Kartell's experimentation in plastics for the home that made them famous. Stylish home accessories and lighting dominated the 1950s, with the first injection-molded furniture emerging in the 1960s. Since then, the Kartell modern furniture line has only continued to grow, including contemporary chairs, tables, sofas and more--all made out of durable, lightweight and surprisingly comfortable plastic.
